A healthy diet is a balanced diet that includes eating all the right nutrients, proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

At the WLA we spend time on each of these to demonstrate the value to your health and your weight. You will learn portion control and balance.

Eating fat does not make you fat, eating too much fat and not burning it off makes you fat. The same applies to carbohydrate and protein.



AT WLA you will learn that fat is essential in our diet.

We need fat because it provides energy, helps with growth and development.

Fat provides cushioning for the organs in our bodies and aids absorption of vitamins A,D, E, and K.


We need carbohydrate as it provides energy, helps reduce blood cholesterol and maintain blood sugar levels.

It also provides vitamins and minerals.

However, carbohydrate can contribute to fat stored in your body. The academy will explain how to avoid carbohydrate driven fatness
